Job Summary

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Engineering Design supports the execution of railway design activities across Signalling (S&T), Electrical, and Civil interface domains.
This role is designed to provide structured learning and hands-on exposure to railway design standards, AutoCAD-based drafting, and multidisciplinary coordination under the guidance of senior engineers.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design Support (Primary)

  • Assist in preparation of basic railway design drawings and layouts
  • Support AutoCAD-based drafting activities, including:
    • Cable Routing Layouts
    • Basic Interlocking Layouts (under supervision)
    • Location Box / Equipment Layouts
    • Trenching and Interface Drawings
  • Learn and apply relevant RDSO / Indian Railways standards in design work

Documentation & Coordination

  • Support senior engineers in:
    • BOQ preparation
    • Technical documentation and design submissions
  • Incorporate review comments and maintain drawing revision control
  • Coordinate with internal teams for collecting design inputs

Learning & Development

  • Participate in structured training programs and internal design reviews
  • Gain exposure to multidisciplinary railway systems (S&T, Electrical, Civil)
  • Assist in documentation support during Testing & Commissioning (T&C), as required

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
    • Electrical
    • Electronics / ECE
    • Instrumentation
  • Experience: 0–1 years (Freshers preferred)

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (2D preferred)
  • Fundamental understanding of engineering drawings
  • Strong willingness to learn railway systems and standards
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in structured environments
  • Basic communication and coordination skills
