Job Title: Site Supervisor – Railway Projects

Job Summary

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day railway construction and maintenance activities at site, ensuring work is executed safely, on time, and as per Indian Railways standards, drawings, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily site activities related to track works, civil works, OHE, signaling, or station development.
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, plans, and Indian Railways specifications.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and labor teams.
Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), site logs, and measurement records.
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, railway safety rules, and PPE usage.
Monitor quality of materials and workmanship at site.
Assist in inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and manpower.
Identify and report site issues, delays, and risks to the Project Manager.
Support billing measurements and documentation.
Coordinate with Railway officials and third-party inspectors when required.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (as applicable).
3–8 years of experience in railway projects (track, OHE, civil, signaling, or electrification).
Good knowledge of Indian Railways standards, procedures, and safety norms.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOQs.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word) for reporting.
Willingness to work at remote project sites and night shifts if required.

Supervise cable trenching, route proving, and equipment installation.

Report site issues, delays, and technical problems to the S&T Engineer / Project Manager.
Assist in inspections with Railway officials, RDSO, and third-party agencies.

Educational Qualification

Experience Requirements

3–8 years of experience in Indian Railways / Metro S&T projects.
Hands-on experience in:
EI / RRI / PI installations
Axle counters & track circuits
OFC & Quad cable systems
IPS, power supply & earthing for S&T
Familiarity with Commissioning procedures & safety approvals.

Technical Skills

Reading & interpretation of S&T drawings, wiring diagrams, and interlocking plans
Knowledge of RDSO & IRS specifications
Understanding of block working, speed restrictions & safety protocols
Joint testing, troubleshooting & fault rectification
Cable scheduling & route management
